Unfortunately, the coffee shop on the first floor is closed due to the pandemic, but there’s another one in the works.
One of the unique features of the Georgetown Library is its emphasis on art. There are paintings and statues throughout the building, with local artist displays both inside and outside. The library offers a full range of print media for its customers, along with a rotation of art exhibits and available spaces to meet. Being able to take a hike and appreciate the beautiful lake views is an incredible way to spend the day.
For those who want to stay overnight, tent camping is a fantastic option. Site 033 is recommended by many, it has a beautiful open view of the lake, shade, and is situated in close proximity to tables, grills, and firepits. A flat rock cliff is located nearby, providing the perfect place for watching the sunrise and enjoying a cup of coffee. Restrooms are conveniently located only two sites down, making it accessible for campers.
While Cedar Breaks Park may have beautiful views and fun activities, it’s not without its downsides. As one visitor shared, volunteers can be unfriendly, and rules are not always clear. The need for a written set of rules can help campers and volunteers understand what is expected of them and where to park. Additionally, the showers are in need of a major upgrade, making them uncomfortable or impractical to use. However, the beautiful location makes it worth the visit despite the downsides.
