The music left something to be desired as well – while some people enjoyed the dueling pianos and multiple musicians, others felt that the performances were lackluster. The drinks were average, but some felt that they were overpriced.
Despite these drawbacks, we did enjoy our time at Howl at the Moon. One of the highlights of the evening was the interactive nature of the house band – they were great at engaging the crowd and taking requests. We were also surprised to find that we didn’t have trouble getting served despite seeing several reviews warning about slow service.
For those who enjoy a lively atmosphere, we would recommend checking out Howl at the Moon Indianapolis. It has a unique atmosphere that’s hard to find elsewhere, especially given its cowboy-saloon vibe. 4. Bier Brewery & Tap Room

However, there is a VIP seating upgrade available for those who want to sit at a table during the show. This option is a bit pricey, but it can be a lifesaver for those who can’t stand for long periods of time.
Another downside of the HiFi is that the drink prices can be a bit steep. However, the local craft beer selection is definitely worth checking out, and the bartenders are always happy to mix up a cocktail that suits your tastes. If you’re looking for a unique and eclectic night out, the White Rabbit Cabaret in Indianapolis is definitely worth checking out. With a diverse schedule that includes concerts and regular burlesque shows, there’s always something interesting going on. We particularly enjoyed the Burlesque Bingo Bango Show – a fun and tasteful performance that had us laughing and interacting with the audience. The MCs were great and the dancers were attractive and talented. The venue itself is nice and clean, with friendly bartenders and reasonable prices at the bar.
However, it’s worth noting that the White Rabbit is an over-21 only venue and some shows may not be suitable for those with closed minds. Street parking is the only option available, and the place does fill up quickly – so make sure to arrive early if you want a good seat. Also, the bar only serves beer and wine, so if you’re looking for a place with a full liquor selection, this may not be the place for you.
Despite these minor drawbacks, the White Rabbit Cabaret is a great addition to the Fountain Square neighborhood and the Indianapolis nightlife scene in general. Whether you’re in the mood for music, comedy, or burlesque, this venue has something to offer. So if you’re looking for a fun and unique night out, give it a shot – you won’t be disappointed!
9. 16-Bit Bar+Arcade
As a group, we thoroughly enjoyed our time at 16-Bit Bar+Arcade. The atmosphere was lively and inviting, and the service was exceptional. The bar staff, particularly Meta, were friendly and helpful, offering us great recommendations for craft beers and mocktails. Speaking of mocktails, we appreciated that they were available in take-home cups, making them perfect for the morning after a night out. The games brought us back to our childhood, and we enjoyed playing Pac Man, skew ball, and other old-school arcade games. The bar has a great selection of draft beers and cocktails at fair prices. It’s also worth mentioning the free admission and free play of all the arcade games, which is a rarity these days. We wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the patio, giant Jenga, and fire pits.
While we had an enjoyable experience overall, we couldn’t help but notice a few minor drawbacks. One customer mentioned that some of the games were broken or turned off completely, which was disappointing. Additionally, there is no food served at this establishment, which may not be ideal for those looking for a bite to eat. We also did notice that the crowd skewed younger, so it may not be the best bar for those looking for a more mature atmosphere.
All things considered, we highly recommend 16-Bit Bar+Arcade to anyone looking for a fun and nostalgic experience. It was a great spot to kick back with friends and indulge in a few drinks while playing some classic arcade games. The friendly service, variety of games, and commitment to supporting kids’ charities with quarters put in the machines made this a memorable spot. Plus, the affordable prices made it an even more attractive option. This is definitely a spot we plan to visit again soon.
